Code Lyoko

Code Lyoko is a french animated television series that was created by Thomas Romain and Tania Palumbo. The show was produced by the MoonScoop Group.

Jeremie Belpois, a 12-year-old prodigy attending boarding school at Kadic Academy, discovers a quantum supercomputer in an abandoned factory near his school. Upon activating it, he discovers a virtual world called Lyoko with an artificially intelligent girl named Aelita trapped inside it. Jeremie learns of X.A.N.A., a fully autonomous, malevolent, and highly intelligent multi-agent system, that also dwells within the Supercomputer. Using Lyoko's power, X.A.N.A is able to possess electronics, machinery, and people in the real world to wreak havoc. X.A.N.A.'s primary objective is to eliminate anyone who's aware of the supercomputer's existence, so that it will be free to conquer the real world and enslave all human beings.

Jeremie soon receives help from found friends Ulrich Stern, Yumi Ishiyama, Odd DellaRobbia, and later, William Dunbar. The group has to juggle both saving the world and normal school life.

Season five begins at the end of season four. XANA seems to come back and Aelita blames herself for XANA's return and for her father's death. She convinces Jeremie to let her return to Lyoko using a bug in the superscan as an excuse.  As XANA is for sure back, William tries to get close to the group once more. Things get complicated as Franz Hopper, Aelita's father, returns to earth, reprogramming the Skid. As XANA becomes more powerful, the group has to develop new skills to stop the A.I.
